Becoming A Citizen

To become a citizen at Thrive, please contact us to schedule a tour and determine if our community is the right fit for your family member. Due to limited staffing and our growing community, we are currently only able to serve individuals who can:

  • Eat independently

  • Use the restroom independently

When reaching out, please let us know which days you are interested in your family member attending our program. After completing a tour, we ask that the potential citizen participate in a volunteer day to help determine if Thrive Community is a good fit for them.

Volunteer Day Information

Before the volunteer day, a waiver must be signed for participation. Please have your family member bring:

  • A lunch

  • Two snacks

  • A refillable water bottle

There is no charge for the volunteer day. Please dress your family member in comfortable clothing suitable for exercise and creative activities that may involve clay, paint, and other materials that could get messy. After the volunteer day, please allow a few days for our leaders to discuss and evaluate whether the individual is a good fit for our community. Once you hear back regarding acceptance into the program, we will discuss a potential start date.

Application Process

Please complete the application located in the “Application” tab linked below.

Important: Do not submit an application until your family member has:

  1. Completed a volunteer day, and

  2. Been fully accepted into Thrive Community.

Applications must be submitted before drop-off on the citizen’s first official day.
